iPhone 3g 2.1

After the announcement on Tuesday regarding the 2.1 firmware upgrade, I was waiting eagerly to upgrade. I go to plug in my iphone and upgrade, and the problem hits me.

Google contact sync issues

In 10.5.4, the mac program addressbook.app allowed google contact sync. Of course I was very happy, and started the process. The problem started when the inevitable duplicates came up. I forgot what I said, but the next thing I know is that I had duplicates. I decided to delete (backup and remove) the address book contacts. I tried to resync, and it failed. I had a major problem. My google contacts also became corrupt. I decided that mac/google syncing is not worth it. What I had to do is rebuild google from my outlook list. It took a day or two

Haim Didn't Lose his Iphone

I did lose my iphone for about 10 minutes. No excuses, but I had that new phone feel in the pocket, where you are not used to something. I must have accidentally put it down, and didn't realize. I want to thank the nice family that found it for me. I gave them a nice finders fee for doing the right thing.

Road to iPhone: Launch Day and After

So, if you were following me on other streams, or reading the comments John posted about my iphone struggles, you are well aware of my problems. There were a number of problems. Let's start the story

my iphone

finally got an iPhone. I'll talk more about this later, but I must get to class

Chaim is not equipped. Long Story Later

ATT screwed up. Royally. I may not have one until monday. I will probably be charged restocking. EECB here I come.

iPhone Day

Chaim's #50 in line at the AT&T Store
Not many people behind him, about 20 people.

Should Chaim wait for a black or take a white if it's available?

Road to iPhone: (A week to Launch)

I'm slightly late in this post, but this post is going to deal with the weeks leading up to July 11 (even though now it is July 10).

Chaim's waiting for the iPhone 3G

iPhone 3g information or rumors

I was at bridgewater mall in NJ, and I was speaking to an ATT associate. Some information I found out:

1) That scam of breaking contract and then resigning won’t work. There is a 60 day waiting period.
2) All store employees at each store are supposed to be there.
3) Activation is the same as any other phone. They open the box, phone, etc… and stick the sim in. [probably the reason why for the “SIM ejector tool”]
4) Apple will be activating in the store as well. ATT says get it through them because they are more experienced in activations.
